Résumé

This work is intended for the yearly follow-up of the trade exchanges (industrial products, raw materials) between all the 28 European Union countries and Africa (54 countries). It presents the activity of 2013 year as well as a summary of the trade agreements between the European Union and Africa. As a working tool for large companies, SMEs-SMIs and economic decision-makers, it is also a reference book, and an important contribution for the business circles in the knowledge of the European and African market for European or African products. It is updated, and indicates a synthesis, as well as a global view at the European and African level, of trade between the European Union and Africa. As Global balance sheet of trade, It presents for a total business volume of 359 billions $, the performances, specialty or rank, the business level, of African or European “driving forces” countries in term of import or exports for European or African products. Among those, South Africa, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia, Nigeria, Kenya, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Mauritius, Namibia, Botswana,……or Germany, France, Spain, Austria, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium…. So, 31 European or African countries are examined in great detail. We shall also note the major countries for the European or African products. A deepened analysis is also realized for the African economic zones (North Africa, Southern Africa, East & Southern Africa, West Africa, Central Africa). Finally, in terms of zones, with 48 % of the total business volume of Africa, North Africa is the number one partner of EU. SADC (Southern Africa) is the 2nd Customer of EU, while ECOWAS (West Africa) is the 2nd Supplier.
